3 Steps to Take A Screenshot on Every Device and Computer

The easiest way to share pictures, memes, videos, and memories on our device is to take a quick screenshot and send it to your family and friends.


Luckily, you can take a screenshot in an instant on every cell phone, tablet or computer in the world. Here are the quick ways to take these shots.


Chromebook


1. When it comes to taking a screenshot on your Google Chromebook, all you have to do is click the Screenshot Key on the keyboard. That will take a screenshot of the window you are on.

2. If you want to take a screenshot of all windows on your Chromebook,

press CTRL + Show Windows button, and it will capture everything that is currently open.


3. To see your screenshot, click on the notification or go to your Files area and you will see it there.



Mac Computers


1. To take a screenshot on a Mac computer, you will need to press a combination of keys at once. That is Shift + Command + 4.

2. After you do that, crosshairs will appear on the screen. With the mousepad, use the crosshairs to draw a box around the image you want to take.


3. Once you have selected the area, the screenshot will be taken automatically. You can find your picture on the desktop.


If you want to take a screenshot of your entire screen, press Shift + Command + 3.



Windows 10


Taking a screenshot on most windows computers is easy as there is a button on the keyboard that will allow you to take a quick picture.

How to take a screenshot on Windows 10

1. To take a picture of your entire screen, simply press the PrtScn button. For some keyboards, you might have to press Function (Fn) + PrtScn.


2. Once you take the picture, it will be copied to the clipboard. Meaning, if you want to see the picture you took, you will have to go to Microsoft Word or Paint and paste the image with the Edit Menu or by clicking CTRL-V.


3. If you want to save the screenshot onto your Windows computer, you can press the combination of Windows Key + PrtScn. You will then be able to find the screenshot in the "Pictures" folder on your computer.



iPhone


If you want to share a meme, social media post, or picture, you can take a screenshot on your iPhone quickly and easily.


1. To take the screenshot, you will need to hold down a combination of buttons depending on the type of iPhone you have.


  • iPhones with Face ID - Hold down the right side button and the volume up button.

  • iPhone with Touch ID and Side Button - Hold down the right side button and the home button together.

  • iPhone with Touch ID and Top Button - Hold down the top button and the home button.


2. Once you let go, the screenshot will save.


3. You can access the screenshot by clicking on the thumbnail on the bottom of the screen or by going to your Photos -> Photo Album -> Screenshots folder.



Samsung Galaxy Phones


There are multiple ways that you can take a screenshot on your Samsung Galaxy phone, depending on the model you have.


For any model below a Galaxy 20, you can take a screenshot by holding down the power key and the volume down key. The screen will flash, indicating that the screenshot has been taken.


For Samsung 20 models, you can take a screenshot by activating the Palm Swipe Capture option in your phone's settings.


Once you do that, you will be able to take a screenshot on your Samsung Galaxy by moving the palm of your hand from one side of the screen to the other. The screen will flash, which indicates that the screenshot has been taken.


You can access the screenshot by going to your Photo Gallery and the Screenshots Folder.
